Problem
Regenerative finance was happening almost entirely on Discord and in threads. A field that only exists online has no way to find out what it looks like, or who is serious.
Solution
Organized and produced the first ReFi Summit in Seattle. Builders, climate projects and capital in one room for two days.
Analysis
Capital and builders can talk past each other on Discord indefinitely. Put them in a room and a climate project either explains itself to someone who might fund it or does not, and both sides learn which within a morning.
I ran it independently rather than under a sponsor. A first-of-its-kind event in a young field usually becomes one company's showcase, and this one needed to belong to the field.
